Gerold L. Schiebler, M.D.
A Life of Service
Compassionate dedication and commitment to children as a pediatric cardiologist, advocate, trailblazer, leader, board member and advisor doesn’t begin to describe all that Dr. Schiebler had accomplished for children in his lifetime.
Our community, collaborative and organization is deeply appreciative of Dr. Schiebler's countless contributions to the health and well being of children and we deeply mourn his passing.
Dr. Schiebler was instrumental in the development of many of the organizations we depend on every day including children’s medical service, child abuse prevention, pediatric cardiology services, and many more.
From his humble beginnings as the son of German immigrants—he has achieved more than any of us could imagine in improving the health and well-being of children in this state and country.
He was a true gift in the field of medicine, pediatric causes and legislative reform.
In talking about Dr. Schiebler, we must also recognize all that was accomplished by his late wife Audrey Schiebler. Audrey worked tirelessly on many issues, but first and foremost, it was her work in building child protective services across the state of Florida.
In so many ways, the words of Margaret Mead define the lives of Dr. and Mrs. Schiebler. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”
In honoring the lives and achievements of Gerold and Audrey Schiebler, we honor two people who have changed the world of children and families.
