Education Unit
The following free course is offered to all individuals needing
Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Credit such as medical professionals,
behavioral health professionals, community health workers,
emergency medical personnel etc, in order to assist with their professional licensing.
Enrollment
Registration and login set up is required through to access the training:
- Select Module 1 or Module 2 as listed below
- Create a user account with password

Module 1
An Introduction to Health Equity, Cultural Humility, and COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy
- Discuss COVID-19 inequities data and define health equity
- Distinguish between cultural humility and cultural competence
- Identify barriers to COVID-19 vaccination and communication strategies
Please note: Both the evaluation and post survey need to be fully completed and submitted in order to receive CEU credit.
Module 2
Advancing Health Literacy: Effective Cross-Cultural Communication to Mitigate COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy
- Discuss COVID-19 inequities
- Identify COVID-19 health communication barriers and one strategy to reduce miscommunication
- Define health literacy and the teach-back method as a strategy to increase vaccine uptake
Please note: Both the evaluation and post survey need to be fully completed and submitted in order to receive CEU credit.
