Effective Cross-Cultural Communication to Mitigate COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy Participants will define health literacy, and “teach back” method to improve health care communication.
Advancing Health Equity through the National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards Participants will identify CLAS themes and organization health equity checklist.
Uncovering the Wounds of Structural Racism in Health Care Participants will explore historical context of medical racism and the impacts of biases.
Purpose
The City of Jacksonville received a federal funded grant to Enhance Equitable Community Responses to COVID-19. In collaboration with the Partnership for Child Health, Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida, and Voices Institute health literacy educators will train a minimum of 1,500 health care providers through June 2023.
